Bell Pepper fry

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 3 cups Cut bell peppers chopped to small pieces
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp Besan flour or Gram flour

Equipment

  • 1 Sauce pan with lid

Method
 

  1. Heat a sauce pan and add oil to it. Once hot, add in the cumin seeds and asafoetida and wait for it to splutter.
  2. Add in the cut bell peppers cover with a lid and cook for 10 min or until you can break the peppers with your spatula easily.
  3. Add in the turmeric and chilli powder and cook for another 5 minutes until the spices are incorporated well.
  4. Add in the gram flour and stir the entire mixture and cook for 2 minutes. Overcooking the gram flour can cause a burnt flavour.
  5. Serve with Roti or rice and enjoy!
